Here we had a dual situation that required firstly spanning the stream to the highest “likely flow rate” point ( in the event of flash flooding), and secondly cantilevering the scaffold under the bridge.

The first question of course was “how?” With no immediate answers springing to mind we decided to throw it at our engineer who ended up designing a structure so complex that you could have landed a small plane on it.

Eventually we nutted it out and ended up building this (unfortunately the cantilevered section is not seen), which worked out perfectly for those who had to use it.

We were quietly stoked with the outcome of this scaffolding for the bridge, as it fell well within the pricing requirements of the job, and there were no flash floods!
